Arizona Science and Engineering Fair

The Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF) is the state science fair for Arizona. Managed by Arizona Science Center, AzSEF brings together first-place winners from school, homeschool, district, county, and regional science fairs across Arizona to compete for thousands of dollars in prizes and scholarships. The Grand Award winners in the Senior Division from the state-level fair will be selected to compete at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (RISEF).

Junior Science & Humanities Symposium

Open to all students that have pursued any area of research. High school seniors may enter for a chance to present research via PowerPoint and potentially move on to the AZ State level. Potential winners can move to the AZ State Level. Seniors and Juniors may present research via Poster for the chance to win local prizes but cannot move on to the AZ State level.

The Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) is open to 12th grade students that have have pursued research in an individual capacity. The competition is based on a Paper submission and entrance forms must be postmarked by Mid-November. 300 students are selected as semi-finalists in Mid-January, and 40 Finalists are selected and present their research at the National level in Washington D.C. in early March.

Deadline to Enter (seniors only): November 7th, 2024

Invention Convention Americas is the culminating program for top young inventors from national programs in Mexico and the United States. At Americas, selected finalists from these programs are brought together virtually to continue their invention journey by meeting other inventors and competing for awards and cash prizes. To participate, invited students are required to submit a video presentation of their invention, a prototype, an inventor’s logbook showing the journey of their invention process and a poster board highlighting key points of the invention process.

The Independent Innovator Challenge (IIC) is a pathway to the U.S. National Innovator Challenge (NIC) for students who do not have a qualifying organization to go through. We believe that everyone should have an opportunity to showcase their innovative work!

GENIUS Olympiad is an international high school project competition in science, engineering, art, short film, music, creative writing, robotics and business.

Paper Submissions due in early April.

The Regeneron ISEF is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. Held annually, the competition provides a forum for more than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries to showcase their independent research. The Regeneron ISEF is the premiere science competition in the world exclusively for students in grades 9–12.

Regeneron ISEF will be held in Columbus, Ohio May 10-16th, 2025.

Up to 150 National Champions will earn a trip to the National STEM Festival in Washington, D.C., in March 2025. At this event, Champions will have the opportunity to present their projects to some of our nation’s leading figures, including corporate executives and the media.

Project submissions will be accepted from August 21 to October 20, 2024.
